Daily Flight Information:
The World Flight will be in Karachi for a few days changing all the engines. "New Orleans" requires a new engine as the old one failed on the flight to Karachi. The other two engines are being changed as a precaution.

Flight Delayed in Karachi
While all Engines are Changed

Daily Report

by Lt. L. P. Arnold, "Chicago", Mechanic

Up at 5 a.m., worked all day returning about 8 at night, tired and dirty. The work is going along fast thanks to the cooperation of the Royal Air Force.

This evening the RAF entertained at dinner.

Daily Report

by Lt. L. H. Smith, Commanding

The field here is excellent and the equipment was all that could be desired for the work. Karachi is the city included on all routes laid out for World Flights, as a result of which, the flight was welcomed with a certain amount of curiosity because of its being headed west instead of east.

Engineering Report

by Lt. E. H. Nelson, "New Orleans" Pilot

Changing engines on all three planes as plans had been made to do this here, as excellent facilities were available in the hangars and shops of the Royal Air Force. NC propellers replaced by Martin Bomber type on Nos. 2 and 4 ["Chicago" and "New Orleans"]. All planes thoroughly inspected and cleaned.
